Right now, as I speak, CR is at the end of "Another One Down" on the SMG set in Hartford. Things have been good for the day, but the crowd got thin as the night got later...there was a prevailing sense that most are late for their's 10:15, and there were six bands tonight, so it was a long night, too.

Despite this, the guys are working just as hard as they would if they were playing at Shea Stadium. Unbelievable. I can't say enough about them right now. Fulfilling my role as simultaneous fan and employee is the easiet thing to do on a night like tonight-- it was an affirmation of everything that impressed me about the 'Gun from the beginning.

That goes for Charles Levi, Miguel, and Vince, but CR in particular. I don't know how he does it. He does all the paperwork for the tour, all the setting up, plays for a hard hour every night and still finds time to find his goddamn wifi. I sell friggin' t-shirts. To finish this off, he'll also drive after the show (the consummate sober guy). Yet the bastard still figures out how to outdo me. When I woke up the other day, he was like "ahhh....I showered, went down for some breakfast, did some running on the treadmill and did a little swimminng. Ready to roll?" And then I get up off the floor.

To summarize, don't listen to everything he says. I think he IS a robot. Er, machine. I've still got somwehere around 50 days with the guy- I'm going to read up on my Asimov and see if I can't get to the truth of the matter.
